Australian distributor, Better Beer Imports, has added New Zealand’s Zeffer cider to its portfolio, which joins a range of breweries chosen to combat the perceived lack of quality international lagers available in most venues.
Zeffer Brewing Co. hails from popular foodie destination, Matakana, a small town in the northernmost part of New Zealand’s North Island. The ciders are made from fresh fruit in small batches, with minimal intervention throughout the brewing process in order to emphasise the fresg flavours and aromas.
The Zeffer Apple cider is made using a blend of New Zealand apples, with a crisp, refreshing style and dry finish. The Pear Cider is smooth and juicy, with hints of honey, guava and ginger. All Zeffer Cider varieties contain no added cane sugar and are unfiltered, giving them a natural haze and flavour.
Zeffer’s handcrafted Pear and Apple Ciders are now available in Victoria, Tasmania and Perth, coming in a 330ml bottle at five per cent alcohol. Both varieties can be purchased in cases only for $68.40 (excluding gst), as a loose 24 pack, or in six lots of four packs.
