Fancy a getaway in beautiful Beechworth celebrating the Australian hop harvest with a beer in hand from some truly outstanding breweries and music to match? Thanks to organisers Bridge Road Brewers we’ve got a couple of double passes to give away to let you do just that when the High Country Hop festival rolls back around on March 25.
To enter, simply email us at info@beerandbrewer.com with “High Country Hop” as the subject line and we’ll draw the winners at random on February 24 at 9am AEDT.
If you’re lucky enough to win, or are already heading along or looking to buy tickets, this year’s festival returns to the village green on Beechworth’s Historic Precinct Reserve where you’ll be able to taste the freshest of beers as well as the wares from local winemakers, distillers and foodies with plenty of live music to entertain.
The festival centres around the brewers of the Victorian high country – Bridge Road, Billson’s, Bright, King River and Mitta Mitta – with a spotlight on a series of unique ales made using fresh, locally-sourced hops from the 2023 harvest. They’ll be joined by some stars of the craft beer game including California’s Firestone Walker alongside Australian breweries BentSpoke, Hop Nation, Molly Rose and Fox Friday.
And if you wanted to make a weekend of it there is also the Technical Symposium on the festival’s eve that you can book tickets for as well, where Firestone Walker’s brewmaster Matt Brynildson will give the keynote presentation while there will be panel discussions, hop harvest insights, sensory sessions and more.
