Frenchies Bistro & Brewery in Rosebery is hosting Brewer’s Got Talent on 22 February, and Beer & Brewer is giving away three double passes, each valued at $50! This event celebrates aspiring brewers and gives attendees the chance to sample unique creations while voting for their favourites.
What’s Brewer’s Got Talent All About?
Brewer’s Got Talent is the perfect opportunity to sample the creations of more than 12 aspiring brewers who are ready to showcase their best beers. Each participating brewer will present 1-3 beers, all of which will be judged by an esteemed panel of industry professionals, including experts from Beer & Brewer, Cryer Malt, East Coast Canning, The Brew Shop, and Yakima Chief Hops.
But it’s not just about the panel – the People’s Choice voting plays a big role in the day, allowing you, the public, to sample and vote for your favourite beers. The People’s Choice Winner will receive a half-price brew at Frenchies — so make sure you come ready to cast your vote!
The panel of judges will select the top beer, and the lucky winner will walk away with an end-to-end launch program that will see their brew produced, marketed, and released by Frenchies. It’s the ultimate career boost for any aspiring brewer.
Frenchies’ Co-Founder and Brewery Director, Vincent De Soyres, reflects on why this event has become so important in the craft beer world today.
“There’s no doubt that the craft beer industry has faced its fair share of challenges in recent years, which has made getting that all-important foot in the door more difficult than ever. With Brewer’s Got Talent, we’ve always been keen to provide budding brewers with a platform to pursue and fulfil their dreams, and this is especially true right now.”
As Dupont puts it, the event is an excellent opportunity to explore a wide variety of beers.
“An all-round fun afternoon out, Brewer’s Got Talent is the perfect opportunity to try the unique creations of 12 up-and-coming brewers all in the one place, and they’ll be showcasing a wide range of styles and techniques. It’s an awesome opportunity to chat with them, and gain inspiration if you’re a budding home brewer yourself, or are keen to enter the event next year.
“There’s also an interactive element, where all attendees are encouraged to vote for their favourite beers, which will go towards crowning a People’s Choice Winner, plus there’s the option to get involved in a behind-the-scenes brewery tour, meet this year’s judges – including past winners – and we’ll have loads of tasty eats available.”
