Sydney Beer Week and Australian Heritage Beer Festival have announced a new collaboration, which will extend the 2024 Sydney Beer Week into a 10-day festival of beer at the end of October.
Peter Anstey, spokesperson for Sydney Beer Week, has been a longstanding fan of the Australian Heritage Beer Festival, and is excited to work alongside the organisers.
“I have long been a fan of the Australian Heritage Beer Festival in The Rocks, frequenting the festival regularly. It’s been in my calendar for as long as I can remember and has always been a great opportunity to try new beers and meet the brewers themselves in the amazing atmosphere of The Rocks, which with its heritage historical environment, it is such a perfect place to hold a beer festival,” he said.
Josh Quantrill, also from Sydney Beer Week, echoed the sentiment.
“I have met many lifelong friends at the Australian Heritage Beer Festival and am looking forward to helping it grow through our collaboration. Together, we will ensure that Sydney Beer Week and the Australian Heritage Beer Festival remain an event in every beer lover’s calendar,” he added.
Chris Pasfield, of the Australian Heritage Hotel, also spoke highly of the Sydney Beer Week team.
“We’re thrilled to be teaming up with Sydney Beer Week for the 19th year of our festivities. Josh and Pete have brought an incredible energy to the process thus far and I’m excited to see what this collaboration can do to uplift both festivals as well as the Sydney craft beer scene as a whole,” he said.
Sydney Beer Week will take place from 18 to 25 October, with the lineup of events and activities to be released closer to the date.
