Stone & Wood have locked in a new date for their Murwillumbah brewery open day festival after first Covid-19 then the disastrous February and March floods caused continual postponements of their annual event.
The fourth Murbah Open Day will now proceed on August 6, where the Northern Rivers brewery will swing open its doors for a day of straight-from-the-source fresh beer, music, food, tours and more.
In typical Stone & Wood fashion, entry to this year’s festival will be via a gold coin donation and all profits on the day will go towards local initiative and non-government palliative care charity the Wedgetail Retreat.
Stone & Wood said Murbah Open Day is an event for the whole family and “a chance for the people (here) to give back to the amazing community that supports them”.
And if you needed further reason to head along, the Murbah Session Beer – an easy-drinking Kolsch-style ale brewed especially for the festival – will be flowing for one day only.
Keep an eye on the brewery’s website for updates on the music and food line-ups.
