Craft beer stalwarts Stone & Wood have teamed up with the Gold Coast’s Jupiters Hotel & Casino to kick off a long weekend of food and beer from Thursday August 29.
Brewed at The PA Pub’s first event will feature a range of beers from the Byron Bay brewery, alongside a specially designed menu from the team at The PA Pub, inspired by ‘great pub food with a modern twist’.
Ross Jurisich will be representing the team, joining diners to explore the beers as well as their brewing philosophy ‘Take it Slow. Keep It Simple. Less Is More.’
The menu for the evening includes: Stone & Wood Lager with a Trio of Wings, including the American Spicy Style, the Sticky Thai Ginger and the Jamaican Jerk. Followed by Moules Frite – steamed mussels with French fries and beer-infused rye bread – and Pacific Ale; the PA BBQ Platter along with Stone & Wood’s Jasper Ale; and a finale that will see the limited edition Stone Beer 2013 paired with a Drunk Monk Cake.
Tickets for Brewed at the PA Pub with Stone & Wood are $79 each and can be purchased now through Ticketek.
These styles of event are becoming more important in the broader community as the craft beer industry strives to bring beer to the dinner tables of restaurants around the country. For more on beer and food matching keep an eye out for the new issue of Beer & Brewer on sale soon!
