As part of a new multi-year partnership with the World Surf League (WSL), Stone & Wood will get among the surfing action as the official beer of the WSL Australia from 2025 to 2027.
As part of the new collaboration, surfing fans will be able to enjoy Stone & Wood’s beers at the upcoming WSL Championship Tour events at Bells Beach in Victoria, Snapper Rocks on the Gold Coast and Margaret River in Western Australia, where the brewery will have an-onsite bar located on the sand.
The Australian brewery will also be pouring beers at the Newcastle Challenger Series and Bells Beach Longboard Classic events. On the first Sunday of each event window, Stone & Wood Golden Hour will feature a specialty heat with surfing icons riding alternative equipment, live music, panel discussions, giveaways and more.
Stone & Wood’s Head of Strategy & Creative, Paul Tansley, says: “Coming from Byron Bay, Stone & Wood and surfing have always gone hand in hand. We’ve been part of the local surfing community from the outset and partnering with the WSL gives us the opportunity to take that natural connection to the beach lifestyle to coastal communities right across the country.”
The brand will also amplify its presence through broadcast integrations such as the Stone & Wood Post Show and Stone & Wood Slow-Mo, in addition to a behind-the-scenes content series offering an insight into the competitor’s area and event village.
Andrew Stark, WSL APAC President, commented: “WSL is thrilled to have Stone & Wood join as the official Beer of WSL Australia from 2025. They’re a brand that was born at the beach and lives and breathes the coastal lifestyle. That, coupled with their passion and focus on community, makes them a perfect partner for WSL.
“We look forward to seeing Stone & Wood bring this partnership to life at each of our events around Australia by creating moments and places where we can come together through surfing.”
