If you’re the type of traveller who loves to do something whacky while you’re on holiday – or even if you just really, really, really love beer – we’ve uncovered something interesting in Ostbevern, Germany: The chance to sleep in a massive beer barrel.
Before you ask, yes – the barrel has actually been converted into a bed, and no – the owner of said barrel isn’t simply going to take your money and stuff you into a barrel for the night.
The barrel itself is from local brewery Pott’s, and has been in use from the time it was built in the 19th century, up until 1995. It has since been turned into the best beer bed we’ve ever seen.
