The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV) has teamed up with the state government of Victoria and Put Victoria on Your Table to deliver the Tastes of Victoria Pavilion at this year’s Royal Melbourne Show.
Bringing together the region’s finest producers, celebrated chefs, restaurants and award winning brewers, the event will provide Melbourne’s food lovers with an opportunity to sample local produceand learn from industry experts.
Famous chefs set to share cooking tips on the main stage include Andrew McConnell (Golden Fields), Philippa Sibley (Albert St Food & Wine) and Ian Curley (The European). For a more intimate experience, foodies can participate in masterclasses with experts where gastronomes including Max Allen and Chris Badenoch will share insights into the finer points of wine, cider, chocolate, cheese and beer.
At the Brew Bar and BBQ, Silver Creek Smokers will serve slow cooked specialities, including 16-hour smoked brisket straight off the pit, matched with brews from Victoria’s finest brewers and cider producers.
The Royal Melbourne Show runs from this Saturday, 21 September to Wednesday, 2 October.
