Scottish heritage Brewery Inveralmond, has announced a massive investment in its kegged products, with their popular Czech-style Pilsner to be first off the production line.
Sunburst is a 4.8% traditional-style Pilsner that is made with a strain of yeast that has been directly sourced from one of the oldest brewing sites in Prague, as well as using traditional Hallertau Hersbruker hops.
According to brewery managing director Fergus Clarke, craft Lager is really having a moment with consumers.
“It’s showing tremendous crossover appeal,” he says. “With Sunburst, we’ve created a product which harnesses the artisanal qualities of craft beer for a Lager-drinking audience looking for something truly inspirational in their glass.”
The brewery has also invested in three new maturation tanks, with the project culminating in the first automated kegging line in the brewery’s history. Expected to be operational in the first week of March, Sunburst kegs will be rolling off the line, ready to be stocked in Perth, all over the UK, and beyond.
