Sydney brewery Redoak has made the move to solar, installing a 40kW solar panel system to help reduce the brewery’s carbon footprint. This week, David Hollyoak and the team announced that the latest bottling run of its Organic Pale Ale had been completed entirely using solar energy.
It’s the first step towards a larger goal for the brewery, which is already looking to expand the solar capacity of the endeavour – despite the fact that the panels are already producing well in excess of requirements of the brewery’s needs, and is currently feeding electricity back into the power grid.
