About Roger
Roger Protz is a British writer who travels the world in search of the finest
beer. He is the author of more than 20 books on the subject, including the
best-selling 300 Beers To Try Before You Die. He also edits the annual Good Beer
Guide published by CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ale.
Roger regularly hosts beer tastings and talks, and has lectured to Friends of
the Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C. His awards include two gold and
five silver tankards from the British Guild of Beer Writers, which has also
given him a Lifetime Achievement Award. He has twice won the Glenfiddich Drink
Writer of the Year award.
Roger has twice visited Australia as the presenter of the beer tasting masterclasses at the 2009 and 2010 Beer & Brewer Expo’s in Melbourne.
