Beerfarm Hard Lemon is here

With summer right around the corner, Beerfarm has released a thirst-quenching and Australian made Hard Lemon RTD.

The nostalgic release is inspired by classic homemade lemonade, as well as the high-quality citrus available at this time of year. Hard Lemon is juicy, tangy, and refreshingly carbonated, with naturally lower levels of sugar than many RTD alternatives.

Brewed with gluten-free ingredients and fermented dry, Beerfarm adds Aussie lemon juice and natural sweetening before centrifuging and pasteurisation.

Charlotte Freeston, Innovation & NPD Manager, Beerfarm, said that the release responds to the demands of the Australian market.

“Our team is always searching for pioneering products that strike a chord with the Australian landscape. With Hard Lemon, we’ve used Aussie lemons, and no artificial flavourings to capture that balance of sweetness and lemon zest that Aussies love — perfect for those hot summer days,” she said.

Hard Lemon has already been well-received since its launch, and was Beerfarm’s second highest-selling product at the recent Froth Town Fest in Perth.

Three Tails Brewery partners with local Mudgee producers on new stout

Mudgee brewery has joined forces with fellow locals Spencer Cocoa and Acreage Coffee to create Mudgee Mochaccino, a stout beer that heroes the region’s speciality producers.

The beer is the latest in a series of collaboration brews for Three Tails, which has previously partnered with local wineries Logan and Robert Stein for beer/wine blends. This is the first time Three Tails has partnered with local food and coffee producers to create a beer.

The unique and full-flavoured brew begins with 10kg of Spencer Cocoa cacao nibs, two kilos of Acreage Coffee grounds and 125 double shots of coffee, milled and steeped with Three Tails grains. Then, oats, milk, sugar, and vanilla are added to round out the flavour, resulting in a creamy mocha stout.

Three Tails Brewery head brewer, Jono Beazley, said that the beer is a testament to the quality of Mudgee produce.

“Dessert stouts are actually very hard to make – the ingredients added to the hops must be high quality or they leave the beer worse off. We knew that only the absolute best, freshest ingredients would make this beer a show-stopper – and we’re so lucky to have found them right in our own backyard,” he said.

Mudgee Mochaccino is available at the Three Tails taproom and through retailers across Central West NSW

Modus expand Mexican-inspired range with Double Lemon

Modus Brewing is excited to introduce the latest member of its Mexican-inspired range of drinks, Double Lemon. Featuring natural citrus flavours and a six per cent ABV, the new RTD uses as a traditional street-side Limonada recipe, offering full flavour without a high sugar content.

Modus Co-Founder, Jaz Wearin, said that Australians are looking for lighter and refreshing drinks.

“The success of Modus Cerveza has informed us that Aussies are enjoying lighter, easy drinking styles of beverages, with an exotic twist, but brewed on Aussie shores. We have had a lot of fun exploring beverages; beer and beyond and Modus Double Lemon is a great example of what an Aussie, independent manufacturer is capable of when it comes to answering consumers’ thirsts. Super low sugar, a zesty abv, lifestyle-led packaging and marketing and of course, easy drinking and inclusive,” she said.

Double Lemon is now available in Modus venues, and through Dan Murphy’s and BWS.

Seeker Brewing goes dippy for DIPAs

The self-proclaimed hop heads behind Seeker Brewing have released two new limited-edition DIPAs, Chasing Summer Cali DIPA and Amped Up DDH DIPA, both offering strong citrus and tropical flavours and full-bodied expressions.

Inspired by Head Brewer Jeff Argent’s recent trip to sunny San Diego, Chasing Summer is packed with lush flavours of Riwaka Amplifire, Nelson Sauvin, and HBC 586 hops, with an ABV of 8.3 per cent. Tasting notes describe notes of passionfruit, guava, and citrus, balanced out by smooth Australian Extra Pale Malt.

An electrifying hazy IPA, Amped Up is double dry hopped with a combination of Motueka Amplifire, Vic Secret, and HBC 1019 hops. Tasting notes describe strong tropical aromas, with a juicy, full-bodied palate of passionfruit and citrus followed by deep herbaceous notes. The velvety mouthfeel is supported by a powerful eight per cent ABV.

Both beers are available from the Seeker Brewing taproom, or in sessionable 250ml cans direct from the brewery.
