Melbourne-based brewery Moon Dog will launch its fourth venue this weekend, adding Moon Dog Doglands to its growing hospitality footprint, set on Docklands’ Marvel Stadium concourse.
Wrapped with a palm-tree lined boardwalk, Doglands features a 360-degree bar forming the centre piece of the venue, a wrap-around mezzanine level, a photobooth and an adjoining 70-person terrace restaurant, The Jungle Room, which opens onto the Marvel concourse for lunch, dinner and drinks seven days a week.
Moon Dog CEO and Co-founder Joshua Uljans says: “We’ve all been down to a pub on Swan Street before or after a game at the ‘G but never really had that same experience around Marvel, so we’re really excited to be opening somewhere for mates to meet for a schooner and a feed.
“We wanted to create the same game-day atmosphere at Marvel Stadium, with a Moon Dog style twist, and Doglands does just that. Moon Dog Doglands is a bright and bold tropical escape bringing all the best bits of Moon Dog under one, enormous roof.”
Designed to elevate the game-day offering for Marvel’s punters, the expansive 2021sqm island-themed venue will replicate a tropical oasis not only in its interior, but with refreshing drink options such as the Jungle Spritz (Campari, dark rum and pineapple) and Volcano Bowl Negroni.
In addition to the curated cocktail selection, patrons will find Moon Dog’s extensive range of beers and seltzers, available alongside wine, spirits, cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks.
The new venue builds on the success of Moon Dog OG, Moon Dog World, and Moon Dog Wild West, with Doglands being the second of three venues to open this year at the helm of the brewery.
With capacity for up to 1200 patrons, Doglands will also host private functions in the vast space.
“There’s truly nothing like Doglands in Docklands or Melbourne. We can’t wait to get the drinks pouring, and for people to be blown away by the incredible Doglands experience,” added Uljans.
Doglands will open on Saturday 19 October ahead of the Stray Kids gig at Marvel, continuing to open on Marvel Stadium event days and for private functions and events. The Jungle Room will open seven days a week from Monday 21 October.
