A video showing how to open a beer bottle with just a piece of paper has clocked more than 4 million hits since it was posted on YouTube less than two weeks ago.
While the Beer & Brewer team have seen teeth, lighters, gutters and even actual bottle openers used to open beer bottles, a piece of paper is definitely first.
The video shows a man fold an A4 piece of paper in half vertically until he ends up with only a small amount of paper left. He then folds this remaining paper lengthways to create a ‘V’ shape. He appears to wedge this āVā under the bottle cap and after a bit of pressure the cap comes off. Genius!
