The renowned British beer festival, the International Real Ale Festival, gives away just eight tap spaces at each of their two annual events, with one going to the Hamilton-based Good George brewery.
Hosted by British pub giant JD Wetherspoon, the festival will be tapping 40,000 litres of Good George Pacific Pearl – a Black India Pale Ale – in their 750 venues across the UK.
Head brewer Kelly Ryan is the third Kiwi brewer to be invited to participate since the festival’s inception in 2005.
A similar brew – Black Pearl – will be available on tap for the New Zealand market.
