Returning for the 12th time, the Hunter Valley Wine & Beer Festival is set to take place at Rydges Resort Hunter Valley on Saturday 13 July, showcasing more than 50 of the region’s best brewers, distillers and wineries.

Beer lovers can expect to see brews from exhibitors such as Sydney Brewery, Willie the Boatman, Lake Macquarie Brewing and Hope Estate & Brewery.

Bringing together the best of local liquor producers and gourmet local food, festival goers will also have the opportunity to sample a selection of wines and spirits from local producers.

Exhibiting wineries include Audrey Wilkinson, Margan Family Wines, Pepper Tree Wines, Allandale Winery, Briar Ridge Vineyard and Binet Family Wines, along with boutique wineries such as Gundog Estate, Gartelmann Wines and Elbourne Wines.

Distillers include Kissofire Hunter Valley Liqueurs, Pants Off Distillery and Bimbadgen’s Night Merchant Distillery.

From the food selection, festival goers can expect to sample locally produced meats and cheeses, as well as Indian, Italian, Spanish and Chinese cuisine to name a few.

The Hunter Valley Wine & Beer Festival is a family-friendly event with live entertainment taking place throughout the day, including performances from Ella Powell and a local band.

Children’s activities include a jumping castle, train rides and face painting.

This year, in an off-season merger, the festival is now powered by the team behind the Great Australasian Beer SpecTAPular (GABS), The Schwartz Family Company, the Finer Drop Festival and Canberra Craft Beer & Cider Festival.

General admission tickets are available for $25pp in advance, and the first drink is complementary. GABS is offering a 50 per cent discount for those who attended the recent GABS Festival in Sydney.
