Little Creatures have announced the 10 finalists in their Little Home Brewers Challenge competition where one DIY brewer will have their beer on tap at Fremantle’s Freo BeerFest in November.
Little Creatures said they had received entries from right across Australia as home brewers turned their spare time into something worth celebrating. They said they wanted to recognise everyone who participated to produce some extraordinary beers.
After much deliberation they have now announced the ten finalists who will send their beer to Little Creatures HQ in Fremantle for tasting. One of these finalists will be named the Little Home Brewers winner and will enjoy an expenses paid weekend to see their home brew on tap for the crowd at Freo BeerFest.
The top 10 finalists are:
R. Walker (WA) creator of ‘Splice of Life’ – a Milkshake NEIPA with a big hoppy tropical melon flavor with a milky vanilla smoothness.
K. Wiltshire (WA) creator of ‘Sinful Scarlett’ – a tropical American Amber Ale using strata hops.
D. Walker (VIC) creator of ‘Dewpoint’ – a salted New England Pale Ale.
L. Russell (QLD) creator of ‘Red IPA Ryesolated edition 2020’ – a Red India Pale Ale.
D Horridge (VIC) creator of ‘South meets North’ – a crisp tropical Kveik Pale Ale.
E. Belogiannis (NSW) creator of ‘Verano Ale’ – A Mexico inspired tropical ale with vanilla and coconut.
M. Munro (WA) creator of ‘Vikings on Holiday’ – a Pina colada Kveik Cream Ale with coconut and pineapple and fermented with Kveik.
H. Campbell (VIC) creator of ‘Backyard Monkey Cream Ale’ – with Northern Brewer Hops and bay leaves for a refreshing but spicier flavor.
A. Evans (QLD) creator of ‘Calypso Melodies’ – a mango infused Hazy Pale Ale boasting fresh pineapple, mango, lemon, lime and peach with a hint of vanilla.
L. Kerr (WA) creator of ‘Grass Head’ – a lemongrass and ginger American Pale Ale.
