Evil Twin Brewing is the tongue-in-cheek brainchild of Jeppe
Jarnit-Bjergsø – yes, for the eagle-eyed Danish beer lovers among you, he is the twin brother of well-known beer savant Mikkel, of Mikkeller Beer fame.
The brothers began homebrewing in together under the name Evil Twins in 1997 before Jeppe decided to utilise the name for his commercial foray in 2010.
Jeppe has been involved in the commercial craft brewing scene in Denmark since 2005 when he opened the now world-famous bottle shop
Ølbutikken, and later
began a craft beer importation and distribution
company.
His reputation in the scene grew quickly and he launched a range of side projects including a collaboration with Cantillon on the Blåbær Lambik – one of
the most highly regarded, highly sough-after lambics in
the world.
Still a keen homebrewer, Jeppe launched his own gypsy brewing initiative to produce extreme and innovative beers – which are now available in Australia for the first time… albeit in very limited quantities.
