Each year, GABS Hottest 100 celebrates the best of Australian craft beer, and registration for entries into the people’s choice poll is now open.
Last year, the competition attracted almost 300,000 votes from nearly 60,000 beer lovers, with 436 of Australia’s craft beer breweries making it into the draw, before Mountain Culture took out the top spot for the second year in a row with its Status Quo Pale Ale.
Now in its 17th year, the annual GABS Hottest 100 poll is inviting breweries to register their beers for what is seen as the most influential poll in Australian craft beer, with voting set to open to consumers on Monday 2 December.
Once voting commences, consumers will be invited to put forward their five favourite drops of the year for the chance to win a share of $10,000 in prizes, with voting set to close on Sunday 12 January ahead of the live countdown on Saturday 25 January, with beer venues across the country set to host countdown parties.
Playing into the election day-style campaigning that is embraced by beer drinkers each year, GABS will run its first ever TV campaign this year, reaching a whole new audience of consumers and bringing the celebration of Aussie craft beer into more homes around the country.
Registration is free to enter and a welcome opportunity to have your beers celebrated after what has been a difficult year for Australia’s craft beer industry. Any craft beer available for consumption in 2024 that meets the qualifying criteria can be nominated, and each brewery nominated will be entered into a lucky draw to win a stand at the 2025 GABS Festival.
Registrations are now open via https://gabshub.com/hottest-100/.
