Hawthorn Brewing Co will be releasing their latest beer – Australian IPA – in a very limited keg only run. It will be hitting establishments in early September 2012 and is sure to not last long.
Hamish Reed, head of all things brew related at Hawthorn, has promised plenty of bitterness and all local malts. He has taken the opportunity to showcase five Australian hops so hop-heads will want to keep an eagle eye out for the brew.
The beer is the result of several carefully monitored pilot versions and marks Hawthorn’s first ‘gypsy’ style brew, with the actual brewing to be done in a small brewery in country Victoria.
