Brisbane’s Felons Brewing are giving lager the party it deserves as they ready to host Lagerpalooza at their Howard Smith Wharves location on the King’s birthday long weekend September 30 – October 2.
Alongside 34 unique lagers from 16 other Australian craft breweries – including Range Brewing, Stomping Ground, Hop Nation and others – the lager specialists Lost & Grounded from Bristol in the UK will be jetting in especially for the occasion.
Felons said it’s the first festival of its kind in Australia where the theme is dedicated to the world’s most consumed refreshment.
“Where most modern beer festivals are a showcase of experimental styles, unexpected ingredients and bold flavours, Lagerpalooza is all about thirst-crushing refreshment at its core,” they said. “Defining the taste of beer globally, nearly 80 per cent of all beer we consume throughout the world is lager. There’s a reason this beer has stood the test of time, so we’re giving it the party it deserves!”
Alongside all those lagers will be both gluten free and non-alcoholic beers, as well as cocktails, while the food line-up will include Argentinian BBQ, fresh shucked oysters, local seafood and artisanal cheese.
The festivities will be complemented by a daily program of roaming performers, live music and free, family-friendly entertainment – if you call brewer dunking good family fun that is!
