Felons Brewing Co. is raising a glass to Margarita Week with the release of its latest limited-edition beer, the Paloma Sour, available from today. The launch coincides with Margarita Week celebrations at Howard Smith Wharves in Brisbane and Manly Wharf in Sydney.
Continuing its tradition of releasing unique fruited sour ales each summer, Felons Brewing Co. has crafted a beer inspired by the Paloma, a citrus-forward cocktail. The Paloma Sour brings the lively, tangy notes of the cocktail to life, offering a refreshing and distinctive drinking experience.
Felons Brand Director, Dean Romeo, highlighted the brewery’s commitment to innovation with the release of Paloma Sour.
“Innovation is at the forefront of everything we do at Felons, and we use our limited release beers to explore some flavours not often covered by a brewery. Insert the delicious Paloma drink. The juicy, citrus character from 190 litres of grapefruit juice added provides a lovely sweetness which works in tandem with the tequila and natural acidity in the beer. Throw it in a glass and you’ve got yourself a very refreshing sunkissed coloured refreshment! Beer can be pretty fun like that,” he said.
The Paloma Sour pours a vibrant, sunkissed pink with a dreamy haze, infused with fresh grapefruit, a hint of tequila, and finished with a dash of salt. The result is a thirst-quenching beer with a juicy yet savoury finish.
“We brewed this beer to be easy-going, fresh and spritzy. The result is a vibrant balance between beer and cocktail,” added Lincoln Gibbs, Felons Head Brewer.
Although the final days of summer are upon us, the Paloma Sour is the perfect refresher for warm afternoons. Only a limited number of cans are available, so beer lovers are encouraged to grab a carton before it’s gone.
The Paloma Sour will be available at Felons venues in Brisbane and Sydney, as well as select pubs, bars, and restaurants across Australia. The beer can also be found through the Felons online store and at good beer retailers nationwide.
