Sydney Beer Week (SBW) 2025 is calling on breweries and venues to get involved in the highly anticipated celebration of independent beer culture. Whether you’re a local brewery or a venue known for pouring quality brews, this is your opportunity to be part of an unforgettable week that connects passionate beer lovers with exciting, innovative experiences.

Following a highly successful 2024 event where drinkers discovered new venues, breweries, and exciting beers, along with the first ever in person Beer & Brewer Awards, SBW 2025 will continue its venue-first focus, bringing breweries and bars together to create unique, engaging, and educational events. These events will showcase independent beer to both new and loyal consumers across Sydney.

SBW 2025 will take place from 20 – 26 October 2025, and breweries and venues are encouraged to collaborate on dynamic experiences that connect with beer drinkers. The event will shine a spotlight on the creativity and community spirit of Sydney’s craft beer scene, offering fresh and exciting ways for consumers to engage with local breweries and venues.

Key Dates:

  • EOI Opens: 1 March 2025
  • EOI Hard Close: 27 April 2025
  • Events Confirmed: 30 April 2025
  • Event Schedule Announced: May 2025
  • Marketing Commences: 25 August 2025
  • Sydney Beer Week 2025: 20 – 26 October 2025

SBW is designed to foster collaboration between venues and breweries. Venues running events will be given priority for key dates and prime time slots, particularly for Friday night events. Breweries are encouraged to think outside the box, creating events that are bold, marketable, and impossible to replicate in a bar.

Peter Anstey, Managing Director of SBW, told Beer & Brewer that the week is about creativity, education, and telling the stories behind independent beer.

“It’s a chance to connect directly with engaged, passionate beer drinkers who are looking for unique and memorable experiences.”

This year, SBW remains committed to supporting venues by removing registration fees, ensuring that the event is accessible and that every venue has the opportunity to participate.

“Bigger isn’t just about the number of events – it’s about the calibre of experiences we’re curating. We want every event to add real value for beer lovers.” says Anstey.

Breweries and venues are encouraged to start planning their events, connecting with partners, and brainstorming fresh ideas that will leave a lasting impression on beer lovers. SBW 2025 will be a celebration of Sydney’s craft beer scene, bringing together the people, places, and experiences that make it truly special.
