Duckstein Brewery is set to bottle its first brew with the First Batch Pilsner being the beer that will be first available to drinkers.
The beer is currently brewed under contract at Gage Roads using the recipe developed by the Duckstein Head Brewer Shannon Griggs. According to Tim Forster, Duckstein Brewery Director, there has been a fair amount of demand from drinkers for a bottled product. ““Our customers have been asking for a packaged beer for years and this is our first step towards meeting that demand,” he says. “Although we are initially only bottling our Pilsner, we hope to have more of our beers packaged in the coming years.”
The brew will initially only be available in German-style 500mL bottles and in 15 bottle cartons from the Duckstein Swan Valley and Duckstein Margaret River in WA. It will also be available online via the Duckstein website in early 2013.
