Barrett Burston Malting Co. (BBM), a Graincorp company, has acquired Cryer Malt – the largest distributor of craft brewing ingredients in Australia and New Zealand.
BBM is part of GrainCorp Limited with a range of craft-focussed malting companies including Brewcraft USA and Country Malt Group (CMG) in the United States and Brewers Select in the United Kingdom.
According to BBM, from an operational point of view it will be “business as usual” at Cryer Malt, with no changes to be made to the team and all employees to remain with the business.

General Manager of BBM, Noel Johnson, said the announcement “marks the next stage of our partnership with David and his team”.
