The YH Beer Farm in Metricup, just north of Margaret River, will now become its own entity – The Beer Farm, following a restructure in ownership.
Late last year Young Henrys established the 20hL brewery, which has been producing the brewery’s core range and limited release beers for the Western Australian market, as well as launching a range of tinnies nationally.
In the early days Young Henrys was formed by a number of people including Ian Atkins. The property on which The Beer Farm sits is owned by Atkins and he will continue brewing there on his own moving forward.
Richard Adamson remains a director of Young Henrys and fellow owners Oscar McMahon and Dan Hampton continue their leadership roles. The Beer Farm will still produce the Young Henrys range of tinnies for the foreseeable future while it develops its own range of beers.
Young Henrys has been delighted by the take up of its beers in the 12-pack tinnie format and to keep up with demand it will be further contracting the production of tinnies at ICON Brewing in Sydney, while it looks towards building capacity to produce the required volumes.
