Gravity Seltzer has partnered with fellow independent CBCo Brewing to boost growth on Australia’s east coast with the brewery’s field sales team to represent Gravity in stores across Victoria, NSW and Queensland.
In a media statement, the Canberra-based hard seltzer company said the companies will make “a significant impact on the independent retail landscape together”.
“With CBCo Brewing’s well-regarded sales team positioned in all markets of South East Queensland, NSW and Victoria, independent retailers will now get better support in store. With Gravity’s team focusing on the right level of promotion, marketing and consumer awareness.”
The news of the partnership with CBCo follows Gravity winning a multi-year contract in late 2022 to be the official seltzer supplier for several major NSW sporting stadiums, including Accor Stadium at Sydney Olympic Park and Parramatta’s CommBank Stadium.
Gravity co-founder and chair Mick Spencer (pictured above on the left with CBCo’s Lawrence Dowd) said: “As an independent supplier we have found great synergies with independent retail. This partnership allows us to scale our access and provide better service to that network via key wholesalers.
“We have had a large increase of interest in our brand from the Surf Coast in Victoria to the Sunshine Coast and it has been great to find a trusted partner to give them the service they deserve.”
CBCo Brewing’s managing director Lawrence Dowd added: “Gravity Seltzer’s position in market and their innovation and creativity are a complementary fit for our company ethos”.
Founded in 2021 by Mick and fellow Canberran Liam Battye, Gravity Seltzer counts fitness influencer Jenna Louise, pro surfer Cooper Chapman, eight-times world champion wakeboarder Harley Clifford, ironman Mat Poole and freestyle motocross rider Harry Bink amongst its owners. It also recently hired former BentSpoke head of sales David Ward as its sales director.
