Bright Brewery in Victoria took the silver medal in the Tourism Wineries, Distillieries and Breweries category of the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards.
Founded in 2005, the brewery has been working to improve its beer production and sustainability, but also to promote itself and the area as a place to attract tourists.
“The whole team at Bright Brewery is truly thrilled to be recognised as one of Australia’s leading tourism businesses,” comments James Davidson, marketing and sales manager at Bright Brewery. “Bright Brewery was founded in 2005 for three reasons: to make the best beer in the region, to create that beer using sustainable practices and to promote Bright and the surrounding areas as a tourist destination hub. This award helps to confirm that we’re ticking all those boxes. We’ve been passionately working on constantly growing, improving and evolving Bright Brewery across all areas of the business, from how we make the beer to the visitor experience when they are enjoying the finished product.
“We’re also super passionate about supporting our local community and helping Bright to become a “must visit” destination on everyone’s holiday list. To win Silver at the Australian Tourism Award tells us that Bright Brewery is succeeding in those things, and we look forward to sharing beautiful Bright with even more over the coming years.”
“I’d like to extend my congratulations to all of this year’s finalists and winners,” adds Steven Ciobo, minister for trade, tourism and investment. “These prestigious awards provide a wonderful opportunity to shine the spotlight on Australia’s tourism industry and those operators and businesses who make such an important contribution to the record level of growth that our industry is currently enjoying.”
