The course has been designed for brewers wishing to prepare for the IBD General Certificate Examinations, professional brewers wishing to refresh or extend their knowledge of brewing science and processes or those considering entering the brewing industry.
Course Content:
The ECU Brewing Short Course covers the entire brewing process. Topics covered include:
• Raw materials
• Brewhouse operations and wort production
• Yeast management and fermentation
• Finishing operations and beer quality
All course materials are provided, along with daily morning and afternoon tea, lunch and refreshments. Lectures and practical exercises will be presented by ECU brewing science lecturer and IBD accredited trainer, Hugh Dunn.

All course materials and meals are provided. Morning and afternoon tea, lunch and refreshments are supplied each day.
Registrations close 22 June 2012. Places are strictly limited. Confirmation of enrolment is dependent on places being available, which will be confirmed by the school. A basic knowledge of the brewing process is assumed.
