On 22 February, Frenchies Bistro & Brewery in Rosebery will host the return of Brewer’s Got Talent, a homebrew competition offering beer lovers a chance to sample and vote for the creations of more than 12 aspiring brewers.

Each participating brewer will showcase between one and three beers, all of which will be judged by an esteemed panel of previous competition winners and industry professionals.

The panel, which includes experts from Beer & Brewer, Cryer Malt, East Coast Canning, The Brew Shop, and Yakima Chief Hops, will deliberate over the beers before selecting the winner. The brewer behind the top-rated beer will walk away with an end-to-end launch program that will see their brew produced, released, and marketed by Frenchies.

But it’s not just about the judges – the People’s Choice voting is an integral part of the event, allowing the public to sample and vote for their favourites. This year, the People’s Choice Winner will receive a half-price brew at Frenchies.

For those looking to get even more involved, there are two ticket options available. The tasting-only experience runs from 3pm – 6pm, allowing beer lovers to sample the various brews on offer and vote for their favourites. The winner’s announcement will follow shortly after the tasting session, with a beer food menu from the bistro to round out the event.

There is also the option to make a day of it, enjoying a lunch and brewery tour from 12pm, which includes a look behind the scenes of Frenchies’ commercial brew house, followed by tasty bites and a chance to meet the brewers.

Frenchies’ Co-Founder and Brewery Director, Vincent De Soyres, reflects on the importance of Brewer’s Got Talent in today’s craft beer landscape.

“There’s no doubt that the craft beer industry has faced its fair share of challenges in recent years, which has made getting that all-important foot in the door more difficult than ever. With Brewer’s Got Talent, we’ve always been keen to provide budding brewers with a platform to pursue and fulfil their dreams, and this is especially true right now.”

The event continues to be a key opportunity for homebrewers to showcase their talents, connect with fellow enthusiasts, and take the next step toward brewing on a commercial scale.

Tickets for the event are now on sale. Don’t miss your chance to be a part of this exciting celebration of creativity and passion in the craft beer world.
