In celebration of its 10th birthday in June, BentSpoke Brewery is beginning celebrations with a street party on 6 June at the brewery in Braddon, ACT.
BentSpoke will be shutting down Elouera Street from 5pm for an evening of beers, burgers, BBQ, and bands, with sets including Canberra local Sophie Edwards and ARCHIE.
Richard Watkins, co-Founder and Head Brewer of BentSpoke, thanked the community that allowed BentSpoke to reach this milestone.
“Our 10th birthday is a celebration of the incredible journey we’ve been on since opening our doors in 2014. We couldn’t have done it without the support of our community, and we’re excited to throw a party that reflects our gratitude and love for all things beer,” he said.
Co-Founder Tracy Margrain echoed the sentiment.
“This street party is all about bringing people together to enjoy great beer, fantastic food, and awesome music. It’s a chance for us to say thank you to everyone who has been part of our story over the past decade,” she said.
BentSpoke has also planned some new releases to celebrate the occasion, with one to be announced at the street party. The brewery is also now selling cans of Dick Tracy, a nod to the brewery’s first beer.
First brewed on Good Friday in 2014 prior to the opening of the BentSpoke brewpub, Dick Tracy has been available on tap every Good Friday since. Tasting notes describe layers of rich malts and fruity hops, with a dark nut brown colour. In commemoration of the milestone birthday, this is the first time that the flagship beer is available in cans.
BentSpoke is excited to welcome its fans and their friends to the street party in two weeks’ time, with the team expecting it to be a night to remember.
