As you know the inaugural Beer & Brewer Conference is on next week.
Thursday May 17 at BMW Edge, Federation Square, Melbourne, from 9am-4pm.
Senator Christine Milne, Leader of the Australian Greens will open theBeer & Brewer Conference at 8:45am, and will be followed by a host of key industry speakers including Howard Cearns (founder of Little Creatures Brewing, WA), Brendan Varis (Feral Brewing, WA), Brian Watson (launched 50 beers and breweries world-wide), in starting a micorbrewery and the business of brewing, along with Brian Fitzgerald (Ciceronetm, beer sommelier) and Ian Kingham (ALH) on building a beer list and staff training.
Plus there will be a taste training session for brewers and venue staff by IBD accredited trainers. Excise tax administration will be presented by the ATO’s Caraline Hill, ATO Client Relationship Manager, along with Hugh Dunn (ECU), Owen Johnston (Moo Brew) and Paul Holgate (Holgate Brewhouse). With the latest budget excise tax relief, this is one not to missed. The importance of distribution of beer is also featured including speakers Jamie Fox (Matilda Bay, Vic), Anthony Young (Plonk, ACT) and Ben Kraus (Brudge Road Brewers, Vic).
Major industry suppliers will also present on various topics from malt, hops, yeast, packaging, kegs & draught beer dispense options and cider.
The Beer & Brewer Conference will also see winners of 2 gold medals at the recent World Beer Cup in San Diego, being Brennan Fielding (Burleigh Brewing, Qld) and David Hollyoak (Redoak Brewery, NSW) – attending, making it an opportunity to meet them and discuss all things beer.

There is 5-10 minutes of question time at the end of each session. While questions will be taken at tht time, we encourage delegates to email the event organisers with your questions prior the conference, so they can be directed to the right panel expert.
