The date has been set for the 2013, with the AIBA to be again held in Melbourne in April.
With a new judging format and feel to the awards, the new Head Judge, Brad Rogers, seems to have been making a few welcome changes already. An initial change for 2013 will see the judging instead take place over a week, and include 50-plus leading judges, from both Australian and the international beer community.
With 1300-plus entries from over 550 breweries from around the world, the AIBA has grown to become a preeminent beer competition in the Asia Pacific Region.

Judging will take place from 8-13 April 2013.
