Red Hill is cranking through the beers this season with an amazing five new brews for their fans to hunt out.
The three that have been newly announced include Weizenbock – out next week – Temptation out late August – and the very limited-edition, one-off Double Barrel Temptation, also out this week.
And speaking of hunting, Red Hill has announced that they plan to increase production in order to address the growing market for their beers in the Sydney and Brisbane markets. This means working with a potential distributor to nut out the details, putting a plan for new four packs into production and, unfortunately, closing their bar and restaurant.
While the latter is a sad event, Karen Golding, of Red Hill was nothing but positive about this new turn of events with the company seeing it as an opportunity to focus on making their beer available to a far broader audience across the country.
And back to those beers… the Double Barrel Temptation is described as their “little devil of a Belgian Ale”, i.e. Temptation, aged in “a gin-soaked chardonnay barrel” which they then managed to hide and forget about for nearly a year. Not one to be missed for the beer geeks. Bottled in 500mL limited edition bottles, once this is gone, it is gone for good.
Also out this week is the Weizenbock, a special release German strong, dark wheat beer with “complex malt & chocolate characters”. Made with their own Tettnanger and Hallertau hops, this will make perfect seasonal drinking.
And finally, out in August will be their Temptation, a strong Belgian Golden Ale with “lots of hops are added late in the boils creating spicy aromatics”.
And don’t forget their special Collectors Diamond Jubilee IPA – brewed to celebrate her majesty’s big anniversary – and their Winter release Imperial Stout are waiting to be snapped up too… don’t miss out.
