With only six per cent of the 400 entries receiving gold medals it was a huge achievement for the craft brewers to snap up a gold, most appropriately, for the their Stoke Gold Ale.
Seven other Stoke brews won plaudits, with Stoke Amber and Stoke IPA received silver, and 2 Stoke and Stoke Lager bringing home bronze. The newer Stoke Bomber range also received three bronze medals for its Oatmeal Stout, Smoky Ale and Kiwi Pale Ale.
Andrew Murray, General Manager, was stoked that their craft brews fared so well on the international stage. “Our philosophy is to produce a range of premium quality and flavoursome hand crafted beers,” he says, “We use only the finest natural ingredients without any added chemicals, preservatives or sugar.”
Even better is that fans can buy all of these medal winning brews in supermarkets, liquor stores and on tap throughout NZ and in Dan Murphy’s in Australia as they are all production samples – no random impossible to buy limited editions in this lot.
