For the third year in a row, the Sydney Whisky Fair was held at the Oak Barrell (Sydney), delivering two days of tipples to a sold-out crowd of whisky enthusiasts.
With more than 170 different whiskies, bourbons, rums, cognacs and armagnacs on offer to sample, visitors and exhibitors alike declared the event a resounding success.
There were some very special whiskies on display, including Jim Murray’s “2012 World Whisky of the Year”, the Old Pulteney 21 year old and a range of extraordinary Japanese whiskies as well.
Other countries on display included Scotland (of course), Ireland, America, Wales and Norway, with a strong contingent of Australian distillers represented, including Tasmania’s Lark’s Distillery and Old Hobart Distillery, producer of the award-winning Overeem Port Matured single malt.
