A company called Simons Green Energy has gained a contract to install a 1,200 kilowatt natural gas-fired cogeneration system at the soon-to-be unveiled Little Creatures Brewery in Geelong, Victoria.
According to EcoGeneration.com.au the “installation of the cogeneration system will significantly reduce the brewery’s energy usage and carbon emissions”. The system is designed to utilize waste heat generated by the breweries engines to provide the necessary hot water for the brewing process.
The new southern outpost of the famous craft brewery is slated to started production in mid-2013.
Little Creatures has been contacted for comment – stay tuned for more information.
