Paulaner Brewery has shipped an entire brewhouse to New York, ahead of the opening of the first Paulaner Bräuhaus in the US.
Weighing in at more than 12 tons, the brewhouse is the first ever micro brewery to be shipped from Germany to New York.
Designed by world-famous brewery builder Caspary, the apparatus will soon be pumping out around 1,000 litres of Paulaner beer per day, under the watchful eye of Andreas Heidenreich, a skilled master brewer from Germany.
In keeping with New York migrant history, the Paulaner Bräuhaus is to be located in the Bowery – and area of Manhattan that was formerly known for its numerous immigrants from Germany and for its beer gardens and beer halls.
On an area of about 4,000 square metres, visitors will be able to enjoy freshly brewed Paulaner beer as well as typical Bavarian cuisine.
