If you’re in Hobart (or planning to be within coo-ee of there) on either the 8th or 29th of March, then make a note in your diary: the annual brisket dinner is on again at the 2 Metre Tall farmhouse.
On offer is a four-course meal prepared on-site by brewer Ashley Huntington, accompanied by the panoply of beers on the hand pumps and taps at the brewery door. Star of the food section is the dry-aged beef, hung for 43 days to get it just right for the occasion, before roasting for eight hours.
Tickets are $50 per person – and there’s a $15 shuttle bus option from Hobart city out to the farm and back again at the end of the night.
Get in quick, as this one’s sure to sell out. You can get a ticket by calling the brewery or emailing Jane Huntington.
