Organisers of the Great Kiwi Beer Festival have revealed that they are expecting a bumper crowd at this year’s event, with more than 14,000 people slated to attend this Saturday, 29 March, in Christchurch, New Zealand.
An estimated 300 brews will be available from 50 of New Zealand’s premium craft brewers, making it the largest craft beer festival in Australasia. There will also be plenty of entertainment as well, including iconic Kiwi rockers Mi-Sex and Dragon, festival favourites Tahuna Breaks, and Hauraki music personality and DJ Mikey Havoc.
And if you’re planning to attend, download a copy of the festival’s iPhone app, which offers an easy way to research the many exhibiting breweries, read tasting notes on each of their brews and start scheduling how to spend your day.
Organisers have released a further 2000 tickets to the event. You can grab yourself a ticket from www.dashtickets.co.nz, or visit www.greatkiwibeerfestival.co.nz for more information.
