The inauguralBeervana Trade Show, aimed at developing business in the craft brewing industry, will be held at Westpac Stadium from 2-4pm, Thursday 21 August.
The Beervana Trade Show, sponsored by Charta Packaging, will be held the day before Beervana opens to the public and is for the brewing industry, retailers, restaurants, bars, caterers, media and others wanting to develop their business with the brewing industry.
Festival director, David Cryer said the aim of the trade show is to increase trade for New Zealand brewers at home and in Australia.
“Craft beer sales in New Zealand are on a strong growth trajectory, growing by 33 per cent in grocery last year,” said David Cryer.
“So the opportunities for continued growth in New Zealand and increasingly in exports to Australia are significant and we want to create a forum to encourage this.”
The Beervana Trade Show will be held at the new Mezzanine Lounge at the stadium, with craft beer tastings on offer during the afternoon.
