Sunshine Coast’s Your Mates Brewing is celebrating a successful fundraising event after the brewery raised almost $35,000 in support of local mental health charities and initiatives.
The annual Meats with Mates fundraiser took place in Warana on Friday 25 October, attended by 300 Sunshine Coast locals and with special guests such as comedian Harley Breen, Todd Widdicomb of Mix FM’s Drive, Casey Lyons from Livin and singer-songwriter Nathan Cavaleri.
Attendees had the opportunity to bid on exclusive auction items, all while enjoying a barbecue feast and local brews, with funding going to Sunshine Coast community groups, the Veterans Wellbeing Foundation, the Mateship Foundation and Livin.
Matt Hepburn, Your Mates Co-founder, says: “We’re beyond grateful to everyone who came out and contributed. Mateship is at the heart of what we do, and this event showcased that. Thanks to everyone involved, we’re able to give back to causes that mean so much to us and our community.”
Having raised almost $35,000 at the 2024 Meats with Mates event, the local community has collectively contributed more than $150,000 since the inception of the fundraiser, providing vital funds for the local community’s mental health resources, programs and educational support.
