Australian Beer Company has launched its new Yenda craft beer range featuring a pale ale, golden ale, IPA, red ale and unfiltered Helles-style lager in bottles.
Named Yenda, after the company’s birth-town in the NSW Riverina, this will be the first time fans of the brewery will be able to take home the award-winning beers since they launched in draught last October.
The beers have received several awards to date, with the IPA and pale ale winning five awards in their first few months after launching.
“The Yenda story is directly linked to our humble innovative origin, showcasing Australian ingredients with award-winning brewers,” said Australian Beer Company’s Derek O’Donnell.
“Craft is the fastest growing segment within the beer market. There are loads of great breweries across Australia already giving drinkers a choice of great-tasting domestic beer.
“We believe we can help accelerate this growth by breaking down the barriers to craft beer. By coming into the market with an award-winning beer that is accessible yet authentic, affordable pricing and informative packaging, we want to introduce more people to craft beer by giving everyone great-tasting beer to be enjoyed and embraced anytime.”
One of the ways the brand is ‘breaking down the barriers to craft beer’ is through its informative packaging. On the front of each bottle are two scales representing malt and hop intensity, which easily communicate what consumers can expect in the bottle. For instance, the IPA rates a four out of five for malt intensity and a four and a half out of five for hop intensity. Whereas the golden ale has a much lighter rating of one and a half for malt intensity and two and a half for hop intensity.
The beers are available in 330ml bottles (six-pack and 24-bottle case formats) and will be distributed across Australia by Australian Beer Company’s sales and distribution partner Coca-Cola Amatil.
