The Craft Brewers Industry Association (CBIA) has released tickets for an on-premise trade-specific symposium that will run in concert with the annual Australian Craft Brewers Conference.
To be held in Melbourne on 21 May, The Art of Selling Craft is a one day event that will specifically cater to the on-premise trade. With a programme focussed on the art of selling craft beer in venues, the seminars are designed to broaden delegates’ skills and knowledge around a range of topics.
The symposium will include guest speakers from some of the best in the business to give insights on how they run their own establishments, while top industry consultants will also share their knowledge.
Topics include: purchasing and menu writing, best practice for storage and draught systems, identifying beer faults, and how to sell beer across the bar. The day will open with presentations from two of Australia’s most successful craft beer publicans and will end with a Q&A session.
The CBIA believe the symposium presents a unique opportunity for those looking to both begin ranging craft beer in their venue, as well as for those who wish to improve their venue’s service around craft beer. It is a chance for venues to send key staff members, as well as for brewers to invite new or existing customers along to learn more about the art of selling craft beer from respected industry professionals and trainers.
