Western Sydney will welcome one of the area’s largest hotels when The Marsden, a new hotel and craft brewery, opens its doors in February 2019.
The $54 million hotel and brewery will join prominent hotel family Laundy Hotels’ existing group of about 29 hotels, pubs, bars and hospitality venues across Sydney.
“We believe this hotel will be a destination hotel where people from all over Sydney will travel to it,” said Laundy Hotels Managing Director, Arthur Laundy.
Split across two levels, the brewery will include space where customers can taste the beers brewed on site and be able to see the brewing process.
The new hotel will include a bistro, bars, gaming room, function centre, a modern state-of-the-art children’s playground, an outdoor sports lounge and TAB facilities. A conference and function centre on the first floor will accommodate weddings and corporate events for up to 400 guests.
“We wanted to create a precinct in which the communities of Western Sydney can be truly proud and enjoy for generations to come,” said Laundy. “I have every confidence the local communities won’t be disappointed.”
Located in Australia’s fastest growing area for jobs and housing, Marsden Park is about 45 minutes’ drive north-west of the CBD.
“People from all over Sydney will be attracted to this precinct,” said Laundy. “It will become a vibrant, stylish and sophisticated new hospitality venue and function centre which is a much needed amenity in Sydney’s rapidly growing western communities.”
The new hotel will create an estimated 120 new jobs for the north-west Sydney communities.
The business park is the largest of its type in the southern hemisphere, spanning 256 hectares and is currently 20 per cent of the way through the build.
