Beer & Brewer is excited to announce that the Beer & Brewer Awards are returning in 2024 and will be presented in its first ever live ceremony, held on 20 October in collaboration with Sydney Beer Week.
Following a difficult year for the industry, Peter Anstey, Managing Director, Sydney Beer Week, said that the awards present a welcome opportunity to celebrate the industry’s successes.
“Since I took over Sydney Beer Week from the previous owner, my goal has been to revitalise the beer scene in New South Wales. I wanted to showcase the incredible venues, breweries, and people that make up this industry. Despite tough times, as we’ve seen in the media, it’s important to focus on the positives: innovation, new breweries, fresh ideas, sustainable practices, and new technology. These developments are happening not only in NSW but across Australia.
“The Beer & Brewer Awards, which I’ve always admired, offer a chance to celebrate these achievements, particularly after the challenges of Covid. I’m thrilled to see the awards become a live event at Wildflower Brewing, where mates and colleagues can come together to enjoy a beer and recognise the standout people, venues, and breweries that continue to push our industry forward,” he said.
