Byron Bay Brewery will reopen its doors tomorrow (16 September) after an extensive three-month refurbishment.
The brewery was bought by Lion in April this year and Gordon Treanor, Lion’s craft director, said the venue will continue to offer the highest quality, craft beers as part of a reinvigorated food and beverage experience and would remain an integral part of the Byron community into the future.
“We are excited to open the doors to the brewery and share the revitalised space with locals and visitors alike,” Treanor said.
“We believe we have developed a high-quality yet accessible food and beverage experience that showcases what the Byron region has to offer. We also know how important the brewery is to the local region and we are looking forward to finding new and innovative ways to engage the community and give back to those who continue to support us.”
Head brewer Alastair Gillespie, who has been with the Byron Bay Brewery since June 2015, is looking forward to the next chapter of the brewery in Byron.
“I’ve seen the work that’s gone into the renovation and I can’t wait for people to come in and see how great it looks. Anyone who pops in will really enjoy the new experience on offer and I am really looking forward to brewing some of the popular ales made at the brewery over the years and also sharing some new lagers,” Gillespie said.
The brewery, which is located just outside of Byron Bay’s town centre, will reopen tomorrow, offering local craft beer brewed on-site plus food and live music.
